“Izanami is the Technique which decides destiny”

The Uchiha clan possesses some of the fiercest techniques that are way beyond the imagination of average shinobis’. Susanoo, Amaterasu, Tssukuyomi, Izangi and Izanami are the Ultimate weapon of Sharingan which harms the user himself but produce fruitful outcome. In all these “S” level techniques the strangest technique is Izanami because this eye technique works without using the “eye”.

Izanami is totally based on the user and his opponent senses….. The moment the user voluntarily decides to use this technique he memorizes the bodily sensation of that instant like a photograph. Now the user during the fight again some how create that very instant and memorizes it. This instant is just like the scanned copy of previous instant. Izanami overlaps those instant by connecting them and by doing so it also connects the time spend between those two exactly “same” moments and just like that the user gets caught in an infinite loop and he loses his one eye’s eyesight.

Why this Technique was created?

According to Itachi, there was a point in time where members of the clan abused the abilities granted by Izanagi, instead simply casting the technique as a means of escaping the undesirable results of their actions. Whilst this resulted in little issue if only one person were using Izanagi, if there were two or more casters, they would begin to fight amongst each other over personally favorable outcomes. Thus, as dōjutsu users were unlikely to succumb to ocular genjutsu, Izanami was created as a method to reprimand such clansmen, as well as save them from their own arrogance. By imprisoning them within an unalterable loop of events, the victim was forced to accept the reality they had created if they ever wished to escape the illusion.
