The Eight Inner Gates are the eight special points in the Chakra Pathway System of a Shinobi and manipulating these points enhances the skills and power of a Shinobi way too much. With ominous training a person can learn to open these gates but in the whole Naruto Universe there are only three people capable of opening these gates. They are Kakashi, capable of opening 1st gate, Lee and Might Guy capable of opening 5 and 8 gates respectively. Opening all the gates makes the shinobi invincible for that moment but also ensures his/her death.
