Dark match is a form of non-televised match at a televised show which is generally used to check out the new talents and warm up the crowd. This match is not aired on television and is only meant for the live spectators. E.G Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett was a dark match held at the pay per view of vengeance 2011 at the starting to warm up the crowd in which Barrett defeated Bryan.
